Dolly Parton On-Line

Just Because I'm a Woman (1968)

"Just Because I'm a Woman" was the sophomore album by Dolly Parton, released in April 1968 by RCA Records.  After the moderate success of her 1967 album, "Hello, "I'm Dolly", fellow Country superstar Porter Wagoner began performing and recording with her as a duet team, and at the end of 1967 Dolly left her label, Monument Records, and signed with RCA Records in early 1968.  This album was quickly recorded and released to keep her image as a solo artist out in the public eye.
